Principles learned in the LIFE Business
One of the key principles taught in the Life Business is the power of your attitude. Orrin Woodward obviously felt this is a major topic as he dedicated an entire chapter to attitude in his book Resolved. Not only did it have its own chapter but it was the third chapter after purpose and character!
Lesons the LIFE Business is teaching our children
I have this talk often with our children, it is not what happens to you but how you respond that matters.
Founder of the LIFE Business Orrin Woodward shares about video
Zig Ziglar has inspired, taught, and encouraged millions of people over his career. I salute Zig for living a life of excellence that is making a difference in other people’e lives. Here is a short video that captures some of Zig’s thinking on attitude. Zig teaches us to have an attitude of gratitude. I believe that to solve your challenges, you must go beyond your challenges and focus on the solutions. The solution to your problem is not in the problem, so endlessly talking about the problem is counter-productive. By constantly dwelling on the problem, you cannot move onto the answers. I love the Albert Einsten quote, “The significant problems that we face in life cannot be solved at the same level of thinking that created them.” Are you dwelling on the problems in life or dwelling on the solutions? If you do not have the answers, then find a mentor to help. The key is to listen and apply the advice of your mentor! The choice to focus and apply solutions instead of dwelling on problems, will make all the difference. -Orrin Woodward

Love ZIG! Thanks Dan for passing along one of my all time favorites from ZIG! Great STUFF! Keep it up.
What a fantastic video. I’m up for the challenge and I’ll let you know how it goes.
Matt
Thanks for the recommendation Matt! Ill take the challenge too!
Dan, Thank you for sharing this inspiring video. This is the second time I’ve listened to it. Now I only have 14 more listens to go (according to Zig) in order for it to truly sink it. In the meantime, I’ll join Matt in taking the challenge.
What great teaching from Zig about how to take action to reframe something you think you don’t like into something you’re grateful for.
Hey Dan this is phenomenal! Thanks for the info.
great post but i couldnt follow the video because I am deaf. Is there a transcript or a direct link to the youtube video that is captioned?
Thanks
Unfortunately I found this from an old post Orrin did so I do not have the information for CC. I will try to post video with that option in the future. Take care.
Wish I could get braver, I know how wonderful all this is but I can’t seem to open my mouth; and when I do it is to just babble about how great the products and leaders are. Thanks for being an inspiration. Perhaps I will get there someday.
Thanks Dan,
This is something I am working on, I will have to try this out.
Thanks for sharing Dan. The video is awesome and helped alot!!! Stay Awesome!
ill take that challenge
I have never heard Zig speak before. Great video with some good teaching!
Great! Thanks Dan
Everyone needs to watch how they think, and I mean everyone. It is not a process of attaining great thinking, it is a process of attaining and then maintaining great thinking. Raise the bar on your thinking and you too will be successful.
Wow! That was incredible! I love the nugget “The healthiest of all human emotions is gratitude.” THnak you Dan, for posting this. It made my day.
Dan – I also had never seen Zig before, and really enjoyed this. It is so true in how a positive attitude makes your life so much better. There is so much negativity all around us. This is somethng I have been working on thanks to the LIFE information, and in the work environment where there seems to be a tremendous amount of negativity, it truely has made a difference to the point of Supervisors complimenting me on my positive attitude. We can make a difference.
great little video — THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video! I’ve never heard or seen Zig speak. Great points, something to really consider in the every day field of work. I know exactly what he’s saying, after 6 years doing the same thing at my work I really didn’t have the drive anymore and was upset with “other” people… Then I got involved with LIFE! Learning principles like these make everyday more enjoyable and people are actually not that bad
ha. Thanks again!
Great info!
Dan,
Thank you so much. I got to meet you today in Santa Clara. I’m getting consistent on my journey. And today I got to hold and take pictures of the PC ring for the first time. Wow. Amazing.
Your teaching on belief was powerful. “We compare out weakness to the strength of others.” And how Orrin wastes no time; he is always listening, reading, and associating.
Thank you for being an example of a changed life!!

I have become a sure-fire fan of Zig’s ever since I was first led down the path from 95% to 5/1% thinking — the #ZigLegacy will live on long after his passing last year. Seeing this post reminded me of Orrin’s Attitude-Weed-Seeds talk that is now reborn (Top50) – from someone who used to always ‘blah blah’ every Monday, I have learned the power of self-talk & how it spills right over into one’s attitude. Thank you for sharing, Dan. Blessings to you & your (about to grow) family!
Wise advice from a wise man.
Thanks for sharing this Dan!
Whew! Until I began with LIFE I never realized how much our attitude toward life and our circumstances affects everything! It is refreshing to know to be aware of ‘stinking thinking’ and how easily it can creep into our mind on a minute to minute basis.
God Bless!
Thanks for the video and reminder on how our attitude and self talk affect the world around us.
We need more solutions Thank you
Wow amazing story from the great Zig! Thanks for posting… cant wait to implement this in my life.
