The New Year is upon us calling for change, resolutions have been set, the cliff has been avoided (or Delayed) :) and the people of this country are ready to make a difference in 2013. The LIFE business is coming off a steller first year and prepared to double in the next! The LIFE business is so much more than a business, it is really a movement. A movement of people who have decided to pursue a self directed education so they can contribute to a better tomorrow for our kids and grandkids.

LIFE founder Orrin Woodward to launch Leadershift

Orrin Woodward, one of the founders of LIFE, has committed his time and energy to studying people, history and systems. I was able to spend thirty days in Florida with him recently and talk through so many of the issues we face as a country. Orrin has an amazing way of identifying a problem and than putting a system in place to fix it. He has proven in his family, companies and many friendships that he excelles in this area. I have personally watched Orrin not only be able to solve problems with systems, but he is able to teach incredibly complicated issues to people at all levels of understanding.

An early look into the book Leadershift by Orrin Woodward

I was given the privilege to read an early copy of the book Leadershift by Orrin Woodward and Oliver DeMille. The story line is so compelling, I would get to the end of a chapter and instantly flip to the next wanting to know what would happen. The main character would introduce a proposal and I would find myself wondering “How would that work?” then the characters start to discuss the solution and it would become clear to me. I fell in love with the way the book lays out the problems and then one by one creates a solution.  This book has real answers to real problems that are going to require real leaders to step up and make a difference.

Shortly before his death, historian Thomas Macaulay wrote to a friend in America, “Your republic will be fearfully plundered and laid waste by barbarians in the twentieth century as the Roman Empire was in the fifth, with this difference: that the Huns and Vandals will have been engendered within your own country by your own institutions.” This can and must be halted in 2013 through a LeaderShift! Arnold Toynbee, the great historian, studied every historical civilization. He believed that in the final hours before every civilization’s collapse, that leaders would emerge with proposals, that, if heeded, could halt the decline and bring much needed revitalization. It is my humble opinion that LeaderShift is such a proposal and can turnaround our country if enough people are willing to lead at the local level! America’s turnaround can be a beacon of hope and light for the remnants of liberty remaining within Western Civilization.

On April 16th, LeaderShift will be available on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and bookstores across North America. I have never been more excited for the start of a new year than I am for 2013. I believe a turning point in the history of freedom is upon us and I plan on playing my part. Will you do the same?
